Some representatives of the Aquasome project consortium met in the Bizkaia Aretoa center in Bilbao to explain the last achievements of the project and plan how to approach the last project annuity and identify pending work and tasks to be completed  

Follow-up AQUASOME meeting (Palma de Mallorca, January 2019)

The Aquasome team had a fruitful meeting in Palma de Mallorca. During the meeting each sub-group presented the status of the work on each work-package, the achievements obtained, the problems found, etc. and, at the final discussion, all the members were able to contribute new ideas and proposals for a continuous collaboration. 

AQUASOME project contributions to ISEAC-40 conference (Santiago de Compostela, June 2018)

The ChromChem group, part of the AQUASOME consortium, organized the 40th International Conference on Environmental & Food Monitoring conference ISEAC40.The conference was chaired by the AQUASOME member José Benito Quintana. The central subject of ISEAC-40 conference was the innovative use of analytical methods for the investigation of environmental and food relevant questions. ISEAC is the flagship conference of the International Association of Environmental Analytical Chemistry (IAEAC) and is designed to provide scientists with the opportunity to exchange cutting edge research results in environmental sciences and to provide training in the most advanced analytical technologies.

AQUASOME coordinator, Nestor Etxebarría (see picture) and other project members, Rosario Rodil and Iria González-Mariño actively participated in the conference through 3 oral presentations in the field of environmental analysis.


First AQUASOME meeting (Palma de Mallorca, January 2018)

Part of the AQUASOME research team met in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), hosted by the University of the Balearic Islands. During this meeting, a review of the general and specific objectives of AQUASOME was made. The main task was the prioritization of work packages, as well as the organization of the research tasks of each group in the first year of project and the evaluation of possible synergies.
